Macon-Bibb County’s First Roundabout

No traffic lights, no poles nor wires. Macon-Bibb County unveils its first roundabout at College and Oglethorpe Streets, an esthetically pleasing thoroughfare in the progressive College Hill Corridor.

Juvenile Justice Center

Macon-Bibb County fulfills its dream of a modern and comprehensive justice center for both youthful offenders and those who have been offended against. National Night Out 2014

Fun, food, family and frolicking in the streets. Macon-Bibb County joins more than 16,000 communities nationwide to participate in the annual crime-fighting initiative. Travel around the community with the MaconBibbTV team and smile at the memory-making.

Adult Field Day 2014

If a Wet Sponge Toss and Tater Sack Race are your idea of fun, watch this! Held at historic Luther Williams Field, Macon-Bibb's Recreation Department hosts it first annual Adult Field Day with all the pageantry. A great time was had by all.

Bragg Jam Kids Fest

It's music to their ears and songs for their souls. Each summer the family of the late great Otis Redding helps local teens stoke their creative juices at their Big O Foundation music camp. From songwriting and performing to classes with industry professionals, Otis lives on through the student musicians the family trains - performing here at the 2014 Bragg Jam Kids Fest.

Macon-Bibb County GCAPS 2014

The Georgia Civic Awareness Program for Students (GCAPS) gives students the opportunity to learn first-hand the services that Macon-Bibb County provides.

Second Street Vision Block

From dirt to work - Macon-Bibb breaks ground on the Second Street Vision Block. The transformation begins.

100th House Demolition

Crash, boom, crunch. Macon-Bibb County takes down another dilapidated, abandoned house to reach the goal of 100 for the previous fiscal year. Workers relinquish the excavator to Mayor Robert Reichert who takes several swipes at the building before Public Works finishes the job.

Tattnall Square Park

When the Friends of Tattnall Square Park befriend you, their commitment and loyalty know no bounds. Lovingly restoring the College Hill Corridor's 16-acre gem to its former glory, the indefatigable group is reveling in the park's rarified designation as one of America's 12 Frontline Parks.
