Theron Ussery Park (formerly North Macon Park) recently received $425,000 in voter-approved SPLOST-funded renovations. To show off the upgrades, and honor the man for which the park was renamed, commissioners, community members, friends, and family gathered at the ball field for a ribbon-cutting. Mr. Ussery himself got to throw out the first pitch! Progress at the park includes new bleachers, dugouts, covers, field fixes, and infrastructure work.
