The Pedestrian Safety Review Board was awarded a $20,785 grant from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The money will be used to fund the “Pedestrian on the Move” campaign. It will include six educational sessions throughout 2018, as well as advertising and spreading awareness to keep people walking our streets safe. The Board was formed to address the serious issue of pedestrian deaths and distracted drivers in Macon-Bibb. MaconBibbTV has more on the initiative in this feature video.
