The old Hunt Elementary School in East Macon-Bibb is getting new life as a housing complex for low-income senior citizens. The Macon Housing Authority’s non-profit branch, In-Fill Housing, is working to make it happen, along with Stafford Builders and Consultants. When complete, there will be 60 units available for seniors who qualify. It’s a project that many say is long overdue for that part of town.
