Macon-Bibb County has 24 new firefighters. The young men were pinned and officially sworn in on November 30 in a ceremony at Central Georgia Technical College. These men went through 24 weeks of intense training to become part of our Class 1 Fire Department. Each is EMT and hazardous materials certified, and is ready to tackle blazes that pop up. As part of their training, they also had to volunteer in our community. We’re grateful for everyone who puts their lives on the line to protect us! Congratulations to our new fire fighters!
